When Tyler Martin started helping me implement Wordpress and Comicpress for the new PvP site, we had a long discussion about Webcomic archives and rethinking how to present them.

The truth is that for a new reader, facing 10 years worth of comics strips can be daunting. Where do you start? It’s not just enough to give a reader a list of every strip since 1998 and tell them to “go for it.” They need a guide. Thus the new reader page with links to important character developing arcs (which I’m still fleshing out).

Tyler had a brilliant idea to re-package the PvP archives and present a classic strip along side the new one, every day. So each day you can see a new PvP and also check out a PvP from years ago. It might be a strip you’ve seen before but forgot about. Maybe it’s a strip you’ve NEVER seen. It’s just another way to introduce readers to PvP strips they might have missed.

So please check out our new RePvP page for a trip down memory lane.

And if you have an idea of how to re-package or present large Webcomics archives in a more digestible way, discuss it in the Webcomics Weekly forum. We might discuss your idea on a future show.
