Despite having both a Myspace and Facebook page, the only social networking site I’ve really stuck too is Twitter.com.
Have you used Twitter? It’s basically a website that lets you post “tweets” or little status updates about what you’re currently doign. You can twitter from the computer or from your mobile phone. You can subscribe to the twitter feeds of your friends and such to keep track of what they’re doing.
If you’re a PvP fan, I would like to recommend you subscribe to my twitter feed. It’s a good way to promote the strip to other Twitter users and also keep track of what I’m up to. There are a lot of things I post to my twitter feed that never makes it to the PvP website.
I would like to turn my twitter feed into the unofficial PvP fan-club. I’ll not only be posting tweets of what I’m doing, but from time to time I’ll even give sneak peeks at upcoming strips, covers, wallpapers, etc. And for those of you who are toying with the idea of picking up some items from the PvP Store, I’ll even be posting coupon codes with short life-spans for people who are quick enough to catch and take advantage of them.
Webcomic creators, Twitter is a great way to start a community around your own Webcomic and even provides badges and widgest for your websites. It’s just another way to give some accessibility to your readership. I’ll be talking more about twitter on this week’s Webcomics Weekly.
Tweet, tweet, everybody!
