My buddy and comic book genius Robert Kirkman has his own website now. He’s made a blog. He posts his musings, examples of upcoming books, he even has his very own mailing list that you can subscribe to. I tell you this in the off chance that there are still some of you out there who are unfamiliar with Robert’s work.
If so, you need to remedy that immediately.
Robert’s comic, Invincible, is simply the best Super-Hero title on the market. It’s everything that Spider-Man and Batman and Superman can’t be. It’s that good and fun and engaging. Robert has them all collected in huge hardcover bricks so you can sit on the couch and catch up with the rest of us.
Another reason I’m telling you about Robert today is that Spike TV has made an animated cartoon out of one of his earlier creations called BATTLE POPE. That’s right. He’s a Pope that does battle. With uzi’s and swords. I heard that Spike was excited because the cartoons had had something like…9,000 views. I’m sure we can do better than that.
