Rich Stevens is a hip guy. Way too hip for this website. Despite this, he offered without prodding to produce a hand-drawn guest strip for PvP during my time of need. Rich normally produces art with giant pixels and the idea of a hand-drawn…well…anythingwas intriguing. But then, to make things even more intriguing, Rich dropped a hint that he was enlisting a co-author on this project. When I picked up the name Rich dropped my jaw fell agape.

Is this plane of reality strong enough to contain a creative team up between Rich Stevens and Wil Wheaton?

I know Sunday is our slowest day traffic wise, but I just had to save the best for last. Bacon for dessert as it were. Thanks to Rich and Wil for creating what has to be the most unique convergence of talent, subject matter and geek-cred ever in the history of guest strips. It’s one in a million, guys and I greatly appreciate it.

So a lot of people are asking me if the Hopscotch app that Brent is using in our current storyline is real. No it is not. Hopscotch is a fictional parody of apps like Foursquare and Gowalla. Specifically though it’s a parody of how checking into a certain location multiple times with Foursquare elects you that location’s mayor.

Yes. I am the mayor of my local Starbucks. Yes I told the Baristas. And yes, they do call me “your honor.”

Before you find me on foursquare, let me warn you in advance I’ll probably ignore your friend request. I’m new to foursquare and adding a bunch of readers to my friends list is going to make things more confusing for this luddite. But maybe once I get the hang of it, I’ll make a PvP account. Or one for Brent. And we can all be buddies. I’ll keep you posted.
