Long before there was the Webcomics Weekly Podcast, there was the Blank Label Comics Podcast, a project spearheaded by Dave and Kris. Since Brad and I were both unavailable last Friday, Dave and Kris paired up once again to bring us a reminder of what made these two guys so popular with BLCP.

Dave was kind enough to forward an email along that he got from Buck Jones, a Des Monies cartoonist. Buck wanted to let Dave know how much he enjoyed “How to Make Webcomics” and mentioned that the book had been recommended to him by Randy Glasbergen.

For those of you who don’t know, Randy Glasbergen is the author of several books on how to create and market comic strips. His books were staples of mine growing up. To find out, years later, that he was recommending our book is a real honor.

I want to thank Buck for passing along the compliment to Dave and also letting us know that Randy thought highly enough of the book to recommend it.

It was a real treat to hear.
