As of today, all outstanding orders for “How to Make Webcomics” are out. If you ordered it from me, it’s in the mail or you should have it already. If you don’t receive your book in the next week, email me with PVPSTUFF URGENT in the subject line so we can look up your order in our system.

All our other orders for tee shirts and books are also current and out the door. We mailed out a ton of stuff last week and this weekend to get current on our orders.

The other day, we at Halfpixel had a fun time being silly about our summer help. But today I wanted to take a moment in all seriousness to thank my sister-in-law, Ashley for really stepping up and dragging me out of the hole that I had made for myself with those HTMW book pre-orders.

Things sold so fast, and stock ran out so quickly that suddenly I had a mountain of orders, nothing in stock and a real mess on my hand. Ashley took over and sorted it all out. I owe her big time for her time and effort on this.

Ashley also did a complete count of our inventory yesterday and I’ve updated our databases to reflect all our available sizes. If you previously tried to by a shirt and it was unavailable, try again today. I might be able to accommodate you now.

PvP Treks On, the fifth volume of our comic strip book collection has just dropped on my doorstep. I have 40 copies here in studio that I’ve put up for sale in our store. Once those are sold, sales will go on hold until the remainder of my stock arrives from Image comics (I don’t want to take orders until I have them here to send out immediately).

For 10 bucks extra, I’ll put a sketch inside the book for you. Right now that’s obviously limited to 40. Once I get more stock in, I think I might start limiting the number of artists editions I do for a couple reasons:

1) They are time consuming to do and hold up sending out orders.
2) When a large demand for artists editions come in, it gets impossible to spend a decent amount of time on each sketch realistically. I want to make sure you’re getting all 10 bucks worth of sketch.

So if you want an artist edition of Vol 5, and you won’t see me at a con this year, this is the only real time I can guarantee to offer you one in the next couple of months.

I was invited by my friends at Pop Syndicate to write a guest column about the recent developments between DJ Coffman and Platinum Studios over the rights to his work.

My good friend and co-author Kris Straub wrote on that very subject today and we see very differently on the matter.

To see my rebuttal to Kris’ thoughts, check out Pop Syndicate.

Big thanks to PS for the opportunity to write a guest column for them!
