So post con blues aside, it’s time to think about the rest of the year and what’s on the horizon. I wanted to touch base with you guys and let you know about a couple of PvP’s neglected corners that I’m in the process of tidying up and rearranging.

First I want to talk about Ding! It’s not often that an old friend offers you a paying gig to draw a comic strip as fun to create as Ding. So when that rare moment comes along, and you start to squander it, you know in your heart that your positive karma pool is hemorrhaging good juice.

Ding is important to me. I’m proud of what I’m doing with it. And if San Diego was any indication, you guys love it. It’s been on the back burner and the update schedule has suffered. So have my buddies at Crispygames.com. They’re getting the brunt of the complaints which is unfair to them. The lateness of Ding is all on my shoulders. Ding is going to come back strong. I heard from a lot of you at Comicon and trust me, I love it as much as you do. I have fun making it. So chin up. There’s a lot more Ding coming.

I’ve enjoyed almost, what, three solid months of PvP being on time every day. I think it’s been around that. It’s just a huge weight off my shoulders. I don’t have the buffer that I want, but I’m happy taking baby steps in that direction. Right now, there is a brand new PvP strip waiting for you every day when you get to work and that’s the way I like it and want to keep it. And I want to push that kind of reliability outwards into all corners of the business: the store, Ding, the monthly comic books, our trades, etc.

I appreciate your help and patience and most importantly, your support. There are a lot of benefits to being a one-man-operation. But there are a lot of drawbacks too. Scheduling and organization has always been my achilles heel. But I’ll get it reigned in. Even if it’s one baby step at a time.
