Kris Straub is working hard to earn his title of “the most prolific man in Webcomics.” by starting a 3rd strip and taking his 2nd strips to five days a week. Chainsawsuit, Kris’ hilarious stick figure comic is now five days a week and sublime. Bookmark it.

Kris has also launched a brand new comic strip called F Chords. This is a project that I’ve watched him develop for years so it’s exciting to see it finally take flight. Kris has always lamented that Starslip prevents him from certain bodies of humor. Now with FChords he can cut loose. On top of that Kris is a very talented musician himself so the subject matter is very close to his heart. Help make FChords a big winner for Kris.

Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles, Dave Kellet has produced one of the slickest process videos I’ve ever seen. He and his buddy Dave Scales sat down and put together a video podcast of Dave making a Sheldon comic from start to finish. Process junkies and Webcomics Weekly listeners, this is for YOU.

Hey! This is a real treat and honor for me. Borders Booksellers is opening a new concept store in my neck of the woods and asked me to come do a signing for them this Saturday, August 16th, in Allen, TX.

There are only a few concept stores in the country and this will be the first in Texas. If you have had a chance to see one they are really cool. One of the areas of focus for the new stores is manga/graphic novels/cartoon category. So bonus for us nerds! The entire weekend will be filled with live music, book signings, kids & Family events so please make a note of it.

My discussion/signing will start at Noon on Saturday. I hope to see you out there. The store is located at 965 W. Bethany Drive in Allen, TX. For more information about the event visit the Borders website or cal 214-383-9676.
