I woke up this morning to some disturbing news: An anti-gay marriage group used Google Adsense to buy ads on my site and promote their agenda. I am not going to link to the group, or mention their name. I have logged onto my google adsense control panel to block the ads as I find them to be quite offensive and have no place on this website. I have no idea how long it will take for the filter to block the ads. I might just turn off google until this evening.

For the record, I’m down with the ‘Mo’s getting married. I’m going to be in my first gay wedding next year and I expect it to be FAB-U-LOOOUUUUSSS!

While we’re on the subject. Today’s strip was about the election. Tomorrow’s strip will be about the election too. This for one a very specific reason: There is a fucking election going on in the country I live in.

If you’re in the process of writing me an email asking me to keep my politics out of your ha-ha time, you can stop right now. I’m not going to read it. I don’t live in a vacuum. I write about what I know and what I feel in my heart. Normally, that’s about watching Ultraman as a kid and how awesome Patrick Stewart truly was as a casting choice for Charles Xavier. But every once in a while (it would seem 3 times so far in 10 years), my brain considers who might be the next President of the United States.

Just as non-Harry Potter fans must endure the occasional “Hermoine is gonna be hot in a couple years” jokes, some of you are going to have to deal with the fact that November sometimes means an election is happening. My strip is far from Mallard Fillmore. I think I’m a tad more even handed than that.

It’s been the policy of this site to be a place of escape from the day to day world. I do stand by that. But it’s also an examination of the human condition (I hope) and sometimes that means I’m going to write about current events.

Suck it up people.

When we put out our call to open submissions, I had hopes, but was worried about what we would receive. But man, the stuff we’re getting is phenomenal. Webcomics.com is a site I run, but it’s also a site I hit every single day to learn new things. Look what’s been posted there recently:
