I’ve been really excited about the reaction so far to the PvP fanclub and the premium content we’re offering to readers via assetbar. It’s an experiment for sure, but so far it’s been a really fun and rewarding one. I think that the fanclub has the potential to grow into something awesome with a bit more participation, so I wanted to see if I could offer a bit more incentive for some of you to give it a try. Here it is:
For the next three months (all of February, March and April), all the money the fanclub generates will be donated to the Mike Wieringo Scholorship which benefits sequential art students at the Savanah College of Art and Design.
This gives us an opportunity to generate some funds for a really worthy cause, while we see just how awesome a PvP fanclub could be witha ton of people participating. The worst that could happen here is that we generate a lot of scholarship money for some up and coming kids who could turn out to be the next Robert Kirkman, Jeff Smith or Mike Mignola.
