I am excited and honored to announce that I have been asked to be Master of Ceremonies for the 2009 Harvey Awards. Last year I was asked to be a presenter for best online comic and best syndicated comic. I must have made an impression because Marc Nathan asked me to come back and MC the entire dinner and ceremonies.

Named in honor of the late Harvey Kurtzman, one of the industry’s most innovative talents, the Harvey Awards recognize outstanding work in comics and sequential art and is held every year at the Baltimore Comicon.

Ballots can be downloaded from HarveyAwards.org and completed forms can be e-mailed to harveyballots@hotmail.com. Ballots are due for submission by Friday, March 27th.

Hopefully I can make the evening fun for everyone in attendance without dishonoring the Kurtzman name.

I guess I better not sing.

When I was first offered the opportunity to record a podcast for Wizards of the Coast, demonstrating the 4th edition of D&D with my buddies at Penny-Arcade, I told my wife that I had finally achieved nerd nirvana and could die happy right then and there.

It’s a good thing I didn’t die, because WoTC offered us the opportunity to record a 2nd podcast, and this time they’ve upped the ante by creating a custom adventure just for us and inviting Wil Wheaton to join us at the gaming table. The first installment of our table-top adventure can be downloaded right now, right here.

Wil is playing an Avenger, a new class featured in the Player’s Handbook 2. The PHB2 will be in stores next month, so this is your chance to hear a bit about the new class.

Each podcast is accompanied by a piece of art by either Gabe or myself, so be sure to check them out. It’s a great into to the 4th edition of D&D and if you’ve never played before I highly encourage you to listen and see just how fun and easy it is to start your own group.
