Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to write in with their sympathies and well wishes about Kirby. We’re home now, adjusting back into a house that’s alarmingly quiet without the whines, deafening barks and clicky-clack of toenails against hardwood floors. According to some of you, Kirby awaits me on the rainbow bridge that connects Midgard to Asgard. One day I will meet Kirby again and we will join Thor, Odin, Baldur and Sif to fight against Surtur and Loki to bring an end to Ragnarok.

While some might find such fantasies comforting, I do not. Kirby’s skill-set did not extend to such lofty endeavors. I assure you, rainbow bridges would not interest him in the slightest.

I’ll be taking a bit of a sabbatical this week. Despite how sad I am, I still have a lot to get done. Luckily, however, some of my closet friends in Webcomics have agreed to assist me with the heavy lifting. It’s been a while since I’ve had guest strips at PvP. Somewhere along the line, I started to dislike the idea of having guest strips. That being said, I’m more than happy to let my friends take over this week and give me a chance to catch my breath a little.

First up is Ryan Sohmer and Lar Desouza. I’m sure you’re familiar with their work. Ryan and Lar are the duo responsible for Least I Could Do and Looking For Group. I emailed Ryan and Lar Friday Morning and they had two strips ready for me by today and even offered to make me more if I needed it. Ryan and Lar have recently started a new Sunday feature at LICD featuring the childhood antics of their character Rayne Summers. He seems a perfect foil for Skull. I hope you agree.

Big thanks to Ryan and Lar. Be sure to let them know you appreciate their support by visiting their website and sending them really nice emails.
