Today’s guest strip came all the way from Sweden. No joke.

Rene Engström caught my eye with her fluid lines and brutaly honest comic about life among sexually active twenty somethings living in Europe. Anders Loves Maria describes itself as “not for the casual reader.” It’s a messy love story with a lot of twists and turns that looks at how young adults today are dealing with the concept of “growing up.”

It’s worth your time. It’s worth a 2nd look. Rene is on a short hiatus, so it’s a perfect time to catch up before things start again.

I’m honored that Rene would take time from her busy life to do a guest strip for PvP.

So a lot of people are asking me if the Hopscotch app that Brent is using in our current storyline is real. No it is not. Hopscotch is a fictional parody of apps like Foursquare and Gowalla. Specifically though it’s a parody of how checking into a certain location multiple times with Foursquare elects you that location’s mayor.

Yes. I am the mayor of my local Starbucks. Yes I told the Baristas. And yes, they do call me “your honor.”

Before you find me on foursquare, let me warn you in advance I’ll probably ignore your friend request. I’m new to foursquare and adding a bunch of readers to my friends list is going to make things more confusing for this luddite. But maybe once I get the hang of it, I’ll make a PvP account. Or one for Brent. And we can all be buddies. I’ll keep you posted.
