I just got an email from the nice lady that let us adopt Bella and Butler. She was checking up on the pups and wanted to let us know that the organization we adopted them from is in a bit of a crisis.

“We have shut down intake until we get some dogs adopted or more foster homes. This saddens me as I know there are at least 5 or 6 in shelters right now that we can not help. Any chance of you mentioning this on your blog? If you know of anyone interested in fostering or adopting send them to our site to fill out an app.

A lot of people have been asking me about the Basset breed and I get very nervous about people wanting to adopt before the learn more about ANY breed. What a great way to get to know bassets better than by taking one into your home as a foster dog until a permanent home can be found for them. The rescue is desperate for good foster homes right now.
