I wanted to thank all my readers for allowing me to indulge myself this week with a couple strips about the puppies. I know the last three days hasn’t exactly been cutting edge humor, but there’s a reason for this:
This week a bunch of us have been thinking a lot about Mike Wieringo and how much we miss him. And despite it being a little morbid, you can’t help but notice that it’s officially been two years since he passed.
Mike and I used to spend hours talking about our animals. At the time I had Kirby and Scratch and he had Charlie (his cat) and we would just talk unabashedly about how much we adored baby-talking to our pets. So in memory of Mike and in remembrance of our animal-talks, I thought I would put some puppies into the strip to try to counter all the bittersweet feelings this week brought with it.
And hey, now Bella and Butler — my new pets — are officially a part of PvP canon. So win-win!
