I was beside myself when Becky and Frank, the two minds behind Tiny Kitten Teeth, offered to do a guest strip for me. You might have seen their work recently over at Mike and Jerry’s. They contributed the recent Lookouts series.

When the guest strip actually arrived I was knocked out of my chair. I couldn’t stop staring at it. Knowing their proclivities towards adorable animals I expected Skull and Scratch to appear. But when I saw Bella and Butler in the last panel I let out an audible glee-like noise.

Don’t worry. I’ve already started harassing Becky about collaborating on a Bella and Butler childrens book. Oh yes I have.

So a lot of people are asking me if the Hopscotch app that Brent is using in our current storyline is real. No it is not. Hopscotch is a fictional parody of apps like Foursquare and Gowalla. Specifically though it’s a parody of how checking into a certain location multiple times with Foursquare elects you that location’s mayor.

Yes. I am the mayor of my local Starbucks. Yes I told the Baristas. And yes, they do call me “your honor.”

Before you find me on foursquare, let me warn you in advance I’ll probably ignore your friend request. I’m new to foursquare and adding a bunch of readers to my friends list is going to make things more confusing for this luddite. But maybe once I get the hang of it, I’ll make a PvP account. Or one for Brent. And we can all be buddies. I’ll keep you posted.
