This Saturday, the North Texas Basset Hound Rescue is hosting their annual Basset Hound Shuffle. The Shuffle raises money to support the rescue throughout the year and is open to the public. Here are the details.

Hurst, Texas

Basically, the rescue invites everyone in the area to fill the park with their basset hounds. Contests are held for the longest ears, most miles traveled, lowest rider, best costume or hat, biggest feet, 10 yard dash (yeah right), oldest basset, and the howling contest.

We’re going to be out there with Bella and Butler (who came from the rescue). If you can’t attend but wish to support, Angela has set up a firstgiving page to raise money for the rescue in Kirby’s honor.
