Today’s guest strip is by another of my frequent Ustream broadcast visitors. Kel McDonald is the creator of Sorcery101, a supernatural thriller in webcomic form. Kel has recently graduated from a webcomic collective and is about to independent. Now’s a great time to start reading and show your support.

I asked Kel and another one of my frequent chatroom buddies Diana Nock if they would do a couple of strips about Marcy and her new life at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Kel actually attended SCAD and has some great insight into life there. It’s excellent research and I’m honored to have a couple of female creators help add a layer of authenticity to Marcy. You’ll see Diana’s strip tomorrow.

It was an amazingly crazy first day at PAX. We made a lot of memories that are forever burned into my brain.

Our friends Erica and Levin got engaged. At PAX. On the MAIN STAGE. During Mike and Jerry’s first Q&A. Erica was sent to deliver a package to Mike and Jerry, not knowing it was her engagement ring the whole time. Levin came out and dropped to one knee. It was amazing. I’m so glad I was there to see it.

The second thing (not as cool) is that Mike, Jerry and I announced a new project today. It’s called The Trenches and it’s a brand new webcomic that we’re collaborating on.

You see, a couple months ago, I got called into Mike and Jerry’s office. Robert was in there too and they wanted to talk to me about something. That can be good or bad, but this time it was good. Awesome even. A new comic strip about video game testers that they wanted me to help write and draw. Working together on something brand new, from the ground up.

We’ve been writing stories and designing characters from scratch. We’ve only spent a very small amount of time building this new world, but the experience has been tremendously rewarding. And once PAX is safely behind us we’ll be able to dedicate more time to it and tell you guys more about how things are shaping up.

So please forgive this tease. I wish I had more details for you. They will come soon. But in the meantime, here is a teaser image of our new cast of characters. I’m looking forward to getting to know them along with you all.
