UPDATE: Well, for those who watched the live stream, you now know that this whole thing was a fun gag. Of course, Neal Adams would NEVER ask me to ink any of his pages. After the live stream, Neal called in to let me know that he really enjoyed the show, thought I did great and to let me know that I should finish the page. He said that eventually they’ll need supplimental material for the graphic novel and he would love to include my inked page in that material. However I want to do it. Even in my own style. So hey, I guess it wasn’t all a lie. I am inking Neal Adams art and it will be appearing in print.

Below, is a link to our recorded stream. It’s got some language in it, so be aware it might be NSFW.

As if it wasn’t good enough to have Neal Adams drawing PvP, now it looks like Scott Kurtz is going to be inking Batman? Seems so.

This morning I got an email from Neal containing pencils from his upcoming DC project, Batman: Odyssey with instructions on inking. I guess Neal was impressed with some of the inking I did on his pencils for this PvP run and wants me to do a couple Batman pages.

Who am I to say no?

But I’ll need your support. I’m nervous as hell about this and how to approach it. I need my peeps to be there with me. I know it’s digital inks, and I can erase and redo any mistakes I make, but still. I want my support group there with me.

I will be broadcasting tonight at 7:30pm (central time). You can watch here at PvP or join me on my Ustream page where you can join our chat room and talk with us during the stream.

I cant’ state enough what an honor this is. First Marvel asks me to write an 8 page backup for Agents of Atlas and now this. Marvel and DC gigs in ONE MONTH? What an embarrassment of riches.

See you tonight!

On Christmas morning, everyone will get to see the first episode of Blamimations with Kris and Scott over at Penny Arcade. Right now you can watch the first three episodes of their reality show which is actually four episodes because the pilot was split into two episodes.

It’s good. And it’s a candid and amazing look at life inside Penny-Arcade HQ. It’s hot stuff. But it’s missing something. And that something is around six minutes of flash animation set to improvised comedy bits by Kris Straub and Scott Kurtz.

But don’t worry. You get to unwrap that present on Christmas.

Please Christmas, don’t be late.

Continuing in our live video diary of Neal’s work on the PvP Christmas arc. In Part two we hear Neal’s family give him a hard time about his “ancient art tools.” This is a lovely inside look into the family run Continuity studios and it’s not to be missed. I’ll be posting part 3 on Wednesday.
