Every once in a while, a person comes forward that truly defines a genre. Those of us who choose to label ourselves as “webcomics” can only hope that Karl Kershel is willing to take on the role for us. What Karl has done with his webcomic, The Abominable Charles Christopher, is nothing short of inspiring. It’s without a doubt, top-shelf stuff. It is not to be missed.

I just received my copy of Karl’s first Charles Christopher book. The hardcover is a welcome addition to my shelf, but it’ll never make it there, because I can’t stop handing it to people or leaving it out on my desk to draw the eye of a newcomer.

You owe it to yourself, in this economy, to find the money to buy this book. This is what I hope people think of when they hear the word Webcomics. Amazing work, all creator owned, finding an audience and knocking them on their asses.

Buy it HERE. Buy it NOW. Buy one for a friend.

p.s. Karl is up for an Eisner award for his work on Charles Christopher. If he doesn’t win it, I will go Steel Coffin on everyone.

A few of you have asked and I wanted to take a crack at a Steel Coffin and Glamrock Games logo. So here is a wallpaper of video-gamedom’s latest anti-hero.
