It was a crazy week.
I live in Seattle, but my family is in Dallas. But Dallas still feels a little like home, but not quite. So visiting is like being stuck between lives that don’t fit 100%. Sprinkle on stress from doing corporate tax stuff, selling a house and a sick pet. Stir in a bit pot that includes a couple tight deadlines despite the fact that you’re supposed to be on vacation and you end up with a big pity party for Scott.
And I mean that. As stressful as last week was, I can tell when I’m being a big baby about things. Life is good, and we’ve been through worse. Yeah we’re stomaching a rough patch right now, but man…if it means we get to live in Seattle and do what we love we’re happy to deal with it.
I missed updates for Thursday and Friday because of Butler having a bit of a complication from his surgery. My twitter community told me to stop worrying so much and just take the time off. My plans were to ignore them and draw this weekend to fill those gaps. But now that I’m drawing those strips, I’m tempted to just listen to them and instead of filling in a couple missed days, look at them as a couple strips done in advance.
Wouldn’t it be great to be two strips ahead on Monday? I think so.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and looking forward to productive Monday. I know I am.
