I’m pretty sure this is unprecedented.

In four days, Vantage Point Productions has managed to raise the 50,000 needed to produce a 10 episode pilot for Kris and Scott’s Scott and Kris Show (starring Kris and Scott). And we still have 26 days left of fundraising ahead of us.

So what does this mean? What now?

Well, it means that you did it. You crowd sourced the production of the show. We’re going to start shooting in June I believe and we have the funds needed to cover the production of the show and production of a 3 disc extras-packed DVD. Everyone involved is floored at the response and we’re completely humbled by how much you guys enjoyed the little pilot we made and how excited you are to see more.

Four days ago, Kris and I were discussing how much we thought we would each have to kick in at the last minute if by day 29 we had not reached funding. Because we really wanted the show to happen. Four days in and we’re fully funded. I can’t express to you how humbling (and frankly a little scary) this has been for Kris and I. We’re beside ourselves over this.

In addition to just saying “thanks” I wanted to point out that the rewards offered for backing the project are still being offered. Yes, we have enough to produce the show and make the DVD, but you if you want one of those signed DVDs, or a thank you in the credits, access to the production blog, original art, a guest appearance in our comic strips or even a lovely dinner with Kris and I, that’s still on the table. For 26 more days.

Especially if you want a DVD, be sure to back the project for that reward. It will help us better gauge how many we need to make.

So again, thanks. Humbled. Amazed. Busy coming up with ideas for this show that we hope live up to what you guys are expecting. Don’t forget those rewards are still available if you want any of that stuff. We’re happy to make it for you.

Cue music from Karate Kid. Freeze Frame on wide shot of all backers in jumping fist pump.
