I'm in Boston for PAX East. There's snow on the ground and nerds in the hall. Everyone's already got their tickets, but if you're specifically looking for me, here are all the details you crave.
I'm going to be set up in Bandland in the north lobby. Right when you walk in, just walk back and you'll find me, Kris and some other pretty incredible creatives. I'm going to have a merch booth set up selling the usual PvP wares, books and posters and stuff. In addition, I'll have the very first Table Titans merch on sale.
We're selling Darby's "Cat Woof" shirt, and also a very classy Val pin.
If I'm not at my table, I'm probably at one of these very special events:
7:00 - 11:00pm (TABLETOP TOURNEY) - D&D Next DM’s Challenge: Mines of Madness
Are you as cool as the characters in PvP? Are you a Table Titans wannabe? Scott Kurtz’s Mines of Madness await! Hurl yourself into a deadly dungeon in search of the fabled Forever Stone, but beware the outhouse! This special D&D Next adventure is 4 hours long and designed for 3rd-level characters. In addition, you’ll be rating your Dungeon Masters to determine the best DM of PAX East 2013! Characters are provided.
7:00 - 8:45pm (TABLETOP TOURNEY - D&D Next DM’s Challenge: Mines of Madness
9:00 - 10:30pm (PHOENIX THEATRE) - PAX After Hours with Scott and Kris
Send the kids to bed and ready yourself for a PAX tradition like none other. The late-night programming block once again yields control to hosts Kris Straub and Scott Kurtz (Blamimations, The Scott and Kris Show) for their much-talked-about talk show after hours. Will there be stories from the biz? Celebrity interviews? A musical guest? Someone help us out here, we honestly don’t know and we’re scared.
4:00 - 5:00pm (SPHINX) - The Art of the Dungeon Master
Dungeon Mastering, like wine tasting and equestrianism, is a fine art. It takes a variety of skills- story-weaver, actor, lawyer, arbitrator- to sit behind the screen with confidence, style and aplomb. But fear not. These skills can all be learned and our expert Dungeon Masters plucked straight from the D&D R&D department will be on hand to answer your questions. Need tips for DM’ing with D&D Next rules? Have some rules that need adjudication? Want help building encounters and campaigns? A Q&A session will follow the panel discussion. All levels of Dungeon Masters welcome.
Hope to see you there!
